This morning Brian shared a "leaked" image from the Free Press. Yikes. Let's hope that the fine folks at the Free Press worked as hard on this one as they did researching what counts as practice time and adding up all practice/stretching hours the Wolverines in 2008.
It didn't take long for the fine folks at Chris Creamer's Sports Logos Community to work up a bunch of options to show what this could look like. HT to Chris Creamer contributor JJSCOTT for putting this together. I don't much like the shoulder and arm stripes, but for one game, I can live with it. Of the three here, I like #3 best. Please, Please, Please don't use the "neon yellow" version of maize in #1.

I think I like the second one best. It looks more old school, I guess.
I hate "throwback" unis of any kind. Always have. Seriously, don't mess with the two teams with the best unis in CFB.
It's like when you go to a concert to see your favorite band play. And they start playing your favorite song...but then ruin it by adding a 5 minute drum solo in the middle for no f'ing reason. And you're like, That's not my favorite song. That's part of my favorite song with a 5 minute drum solo in it.
Although to be a proper throwback, the need the leather helmets.
well, i generally like throwbacks, when they're real throwbacks.
for example, the NFL throwbacks are pretty cool- they're exact replicas (as exact as you can get considering the difference in helmet styles, etc) of past unis- i love the Lions solid silver helmets w/ solid blue jerseys- expect Bobby Lane to come out & take a few snaps.
what i don't like is "concept" throwbacks- unis that "sorta" look like an old uni (i.e.; the crap tosu has worn the last couple of years). if it's a throwback? make it a replica. otherwise why bother?
I like #2 as well. But in general these are pathetic and it takes from the game.
thread jack-
BTN is showing the 2003 Iowa Michigan game. if anyone wants to know why i have such a sour opinion of Lloyd, watch THIS game.
yeech.
